Making Tax Digital is changing how landlords report income.
HMRC is mandating quarterly digital submissions for landlords. The tools most landlords rely on today will not meet the new requirements.
Fragile spreadsheets
Manual spreadsheets break, contain errors, and are not acceptable for MTD digital record-keeping. HMRC requires software with a direct digital link.
Manual entry errors
Copying transactions by hand introduces mistakes that can lead to incorrect tax returns, penalties, and time-consuming corrections at year end.
MTD compliance risks
Non-compliance with Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self Assessment carries financial penalties. Landlords with income over £50,000 must comply by April 2026.
A simpler way to manage rental finances.
MTD for Landlords replaces error-prone spreadsheets with a structured digital dashboard that meets HMRC's Making Tax Digital requirements from day one.

Frequently asked questions.
Everything you need to know about MTD for Landlords.
What is Making Tax Digital?
Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax Self Assessment is an HMRC initiative requiring landlords and self-employed individuals to keep digital records and submit quarterly updates directly to HMRC. Landlords with rental income over £50,000 must comply from April 2026, and those over £30,000 from April 2027.
How do CSV imports work?
Export your bank statement as a CSV file from your online banking portal — all major UK banks support this. Upload the file in MTD for Landlords and we will parse the transactions, present them in a structured table, and suggest categories automatically. The whole process typically takes a few minutes.
Can my accountant use this?
Yes. You can export quarterly summaries and full transaction reports in CSV format that your accountant can import into their own software. Reports are clearly structured with HMRC-recognised category codes, making them straightforward to reconcile.
Is my financial data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256. Our infrastructure is hosted within the UK and EU, and we comply fully with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We never share your financial data with third parties.
